I’m an American entrepreneur and expat living in Amsterdam.
I’ve been renovating homes for over twenty years.

I grew up around construction and real estate in the United States.
My father was a real estate developer.
He believed in being hands on.
So did I.

As the oldest child, I spent a lot of time doing manual work.
Building. Fixing. Learning how things actually come together.
That experience stuck with me.

Renovation became a craft I started young and never really left.

When my life partner and I bought our home in Amsterdam during Covid, I naturally picked it back up.
Here, I quickly noticed the real challenge.
It’s hard to find people who are experienced, reliable, and affordable.
Especially as an expat.

My serial entrepreneur brain saw the gap.
So I built the solution.

Through hands on work and trial and error, I brought together a small team of skilled professionals who care about their work and communicate clearly.
That team became De Handy Crew.

When I’m not renovating homes, I spend my time building systems, working with AI engineers, and acquiring Bitcoin as part of a long term personal strategy.
